The four laws I thought were really interesting to process through. They had so many different concepts. The one thing I enjoyed was the first law and how it said that God does not think the economy is a bad thing. Even though so many times people will think God’s opinion is a certain way, however, we do not know how God truly feels. Along with this and the idea on how Jesus recruits people to help the kingdom grow was that he wants for us to step out of our comfort zone.

In this verse, it is saying that all is temporary and meaningless. Bradstreet believed that everything in this world is temporary and meaningless compared to believing in God and going to heaven. The speaker initially starts with a pensive tone, laying in bed, pondering the meaning of life, trying to find kinship. The persona also brings religion into the poem by using paradox in lines 4 and 5, “Where water is not thirsty / And bread loaf is not stone,” in Matthew 4:3, Satan tries to turn stone into bread, which is something bad. By saying that bread loaf isn 't stone, in the poem, means that people have done the mistake of changing it.

How High We Go In The Dark and Parable Of The Sower illustrate complicated sibling relationships that deal with differences, grief, and trust within their plot. Additionally, the intricate interconnection between these siblings with grief widens the sentiment between the characters' emotions. Octavia Butler constructs sibling characters, Lauren and Keith, who are opposites and have a rocky relationship with each other. That being said, Keith and Lauren consider the loss of lives and perspectives of life significantly different from one another. On page 109, Lauren questions how Keith survived living outside, and Keith informs her that he killed a man and pocketed his money.

Historically, the Reconstruction and the Civil War transformed many Southern families psychologically, socially, and economically. William Faulkner contends during this social upheaval, the Compson, along with other once-great similar Southern families, became consumed with self-absorption as they lost touch with the reality of the world around them. Likewise, Zora Neale Hurston dramatizes the social and cultural changes influencing the Southern communities. Hurston and Faulkner successfully depict the region of the South as in a constant flux of movement and reconfiguration.
Angelica, You have a very good point in your discussion on the difference of the Book of Proverbs and The Book of Ecclesiastes. I agree that in comparison of these two books, the gifts of knowledge and wisdom have distinct differences. In the Book of Proverbs there is an apparent focus on the human experience. Proverbs provides detailed instructions for parents on teaching wisdom to a child.
This quote by Jesus was speaking to the people during the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus would often teach his lessons in the form of parables. A parable is a simple story used to illustrate a lesson. In this instance, he tells of two men and their houses. One who builds on a rocky foundation, and one who builds on a sandy foundation.
In my U.S. History class, my teacher has an image of The Mona Lisa because there some history behind the picture. For example, who drew The Mona Lisa? Well, it was Leonardo da Vinci. Also, this portrait is one of the most famous portrait during the Renaissance. Back then wealthy people, like kings; nobles; etc., were able to afford the portrait, but now most people can afford it.
