Dear Bishop, My name is Felicitas Lopez. I am a student currently completing my second year of confirmation preparation. I am 15 years old. I was born and raised in Pontotoc, Mississippi. I grew up in Saint Christopher Catholic Church. I am grateful to be able to prepare for my confirmation. I believe going to Confirmation class has brought me closer to God. Each week we will learn something new about God and our Catholic faith. We will learn things like why to be Catholic, the Holy Spirit's gifts, how to pray the Rosary and much more. I really enjoy going to Mass. I have been reading my Bible every day with the Bible in a Year podcast with Father Mike. Every night before I go to bed I pray to Our Father and Hail Mary. Then I thank God for the things he has given me and pray for others. There are so many more things I would like to participate in in the future, too. My time during the Confirmation retreat was wonderful! I got to grow closer to my classmates. At the retreat, they taught us what it means to do your Confirmation. The thing that stuck out to me the most was the people leading the retreat. Hearing them share their story about how God has saved them from bad times and brought them good made me feel that God is amazing. It made me feel safe. It just shows how God will be with us, no matter what. The saint I chose is St. Gemma Galgani. She is known as the Flower of Lucca. St. Gemma was a very kind person. She had a lot of love for the poor and would try to help them out as much as she could. She had poor health, but even then she still tried her best to help others.
