Humans depend on it daily to driven new science, data, and faster production,Technology has changed everything in our daily lives from the way we operate our vehicles to the way we check out at the grocery stores. In the article “Internet of things: connecting the unconnected” by Andy Pye, he talks about how technology is changing. Industries such as food, automotive, lighting and aquatic are changing and depending on technology to improve its everyday production by using Internet of Things (IOT). This type of communication helps save time and profits the company. IOT has more addressing space than previous systems. This allows the system to give identifications and locations to more items. The Bakery industry is benefiting from IOT by communication between production data and testing data. The large data space helps schedule different products on the assembly line and how many items per unit. This information will help the company with financial planning. A machine malfunctioning can be a disaster for a company. The loss of inventory and time can be expensive. The communication between machinery and software helps minimize maintenance failure. In the article, Pye mentioned a system called FAG Smartcheck. This system is used to help monitor systems and sends data before the system fails. Continuously monitoring the system and responding after the first vibration gives the company time to adjust before the machine's failure.
