During the late 18th century to the end of the 19th century, the world changed dramatically, as nations began to create new machinery, intended for mass production of variety of different products, also known as the Industrial Revolution. Within this period, nations became imperialistic, such as England and Japan, allowing them to acquire territories for potential growth in trade and commerce. In 1764, the Spinning Jenny, invented by James Hargreaves, was introduced to spin more wool at one time, which greatly increased productivity, vital for the industrialization of the textile industry. In 1794, the Cotton Gin, patented by Eli Whitney, was also introduced to quickly separates cotton fibers from their seeds, allowing greater productivity
