When having cooperative group instruction, I will manage and monitor student behaviors as a group and individuals. I would start the groups by having pairs of two. I will then as the year goes on make the group size grow. I will not go above four in each group. When the students are working in groups I will monitor how students work together. I will observe and take note if the students are working as a team and everyone is having input or if only one person is doing all the work. I will also observe the students as individuals. They are the supporters outside of school. They help students continue learning when they are not at school and the students look up to them. To communicate with the parents, I will start by sending home newsletters. The newsletters will have all the information about what is happening in the classroom for that week. When that situation arises, I would hold each student accountable for their part of the assignment. I would ask the students to turn in a sheet showing who was doing what part of the assignment. This will allow the students to show responsibility but they will also work together as a team. One more situation I might face is students not being nice when discussing each other’s idea. Students will have to learn how to talk to each other when considering each other’s idea. Before starting the assignment, I will make sure students know how to build on someone’s idea or express their own idea. Instead of saying, “I don’t like
