As a 3rd generation single parent who is the first person in my family to pursue a college degree, I understand the struggle of working through the educational system. In 11 years at Mechanics Grove School I have been fortunate enough to teach both 4th and 5th grades. I am always seeking opportunities to increase my level of involvement and responsibility. I am the school's Capacity Builder for the Rising Star School Improvement Team. This position has required me to actively participate in each of the building Professional Learning Communities in order to communicate Rising Star Plan initiatives while at the same time gaining input as to the effectiveness of the plans in place.
