I am applying to the University of Ottawa for admission to the Ph.D. program in management. I am interested in entrepreneurship management, crowdsourcing, crowdfunding, reinforcement learning particularly in enabling the technology entrepreneurship process thrive. Specifically, I am interested in research work aimed at designing systems that use real-time monitoring and human feedback in automated web-enabled idea management and crowdsourcing systems facilitating knowledge transfer from the crowd to the sponsoring organizations; innovation that combines crowdsourcing techniques with the creation of highly-specialized solutions to traditional research and development new product development initiatives. Additionally, my passion for teaching and guiding young minds has implanted in me a passion and desire to be a seeker of knowledge which has cultivated my appetite for research. I am a forty-eight years old Canadian citizen, a visible minority, and a mature student - not having attended university studies in over seventeen years. I have always manifested great independence over the years that have allowed me to develop a good sense of what I want in life. My firm character, experience and interest in research have all influenced my decision. However, it is largely my own experience working with students over the years that has motivated me to pursue a career in teaching and research. It would be a privilege to have the opportunity to share with others the knowledge and skills acquired in the doctorate program, through research and teaching. My experiences with teaching, as a tutor for undergraduate and graduate courses, have refined my efficacy in providing proper mentoring and consistently good guidance reflected in improved learning and quicker assimilation of course content. I believe that I have the capacity to make the commitment and accept the challenges that a career in research
