The evidence clearly indicates that this theropod had lung and respiratory mechanics similar to that of a crocodile—not a bird. There was evidence of a diaphragm-like muscle separating the lung from the liver, much as you see in modern crocodiles. These observations suggest that this theropod was similar to an ectothermic reptile, not an endothermic bird. Did feathered dinosaurs exist?
Frilled dragon eggs are buried in the sand, in large clutches from 8 to 23. The eggs with hatch in 8-12 weeks. The sex of the babies are determined by the temperature outside. Once the eggs hatch, the babies may stay with each other for up to 10 days, but they are otherwise independent. They are born at only 2 inches long and weigh 3-5 grams.
Hakor in Wikipedia Hakor, or Akoris, was the Pharaoh of Egypt from 393 BC to 380 BC. Hakor overthrew his predecessor Psammuthes and falsely proclaimed himself to be the grandson of Nepherites I, founder of the 29th Dynasty, on his monuments in order to legitimise his kingship.[2] While Hakor ruled Egypt for only 13 years, his reign is important for the enormous number of buildings which he constructed and for his extensive restoration work on the monuments of his royal predecessors.[2] Reign - Early in his reign, Hakor revolted against his overlord, the Persian King Artaxerxes. In 390 BC, he concluded a tripartite alliance with Evagoras, king of Cyprus, and Athens. This alliance led Persia to begin supporting Sparta in the Corinthian War, which eventually led to the ending of that war by the Peace of Antalcidas in 387/6 BC.
In the passage, the author claims that the Edmontosaurus migrated south in order to survive. However, the lecture refutes the view in the reading and argues that the arguments are not convincing. First of all, the passage establishes the view that Edmontosaurus diet drove them southward because there would have been no plants alive in the North Slope. By contrast, the professor in the lecture contends that Edmontosaur does not need to migrate to South to get food. Edmontosaur can get good quality of plants since it was 24 hours of sunshine during summer.

Dunbar Cave State Park has been a state natural area since 1973, when Governor Winfield Dunn bought the land. The park is named after Thomas Dunbar, who was the first to settle on the 110 acre property in Clarksville, Tennessee, along with his his family, in 1784. The grounds include a visitor center, three hiking trails which are all under two miles, ranging from easy to moderate, Swan Lake and, of course, Dunbar Cave. The lake is a mere fifteen acres, so neither swimming nor boating are allowed, however it is an exceptional fishing hole.
Once they are in the past and see the Tyrannosaurus Ray Bradbury uses imagery to explain what the dinosaur looks like. The Tyrannosaurus was described as, “...thirty feet above half the trees, a great evil of god, folding its delicate watchmaker’s
Title Researchers and scientists have constructed extensive research on dinosaur’s extinction. Speculation instead of real evidence seems common in most theories about the dinosaurs’ extinction. However, Jay Gould’s essay “Sex, Drugs, and the Extinction of Dinosaurs” is the complete opposite of speculation over evidence. Rather, Gould uses the mix of persuasive techniques, such as rhetorical questions, logos, along with profound evidence to not only disapprove of other theories but convince readers of his place on the dinosaur’s extinction.
While most modern Americans are most familiar with the gray wolf, when Europeans first colonized the New World, the red wolf was likely the first wolf species that they came in contact with. Moreover, since the red wolf was the first wolf species that the colonists came into contact with, it was also the first to be persecuted (Hinton et al.). The consequences of this first interaction have ricochet across history as the red wolf was hunted to extinction in 1980. Even now, after extensive interventions to breed the wolves in captivity and reintroduce them, the red wolf is till an endangered species (“Red Wolf” 2017).
When thinking of the 1930’s, the Great Depression is what often comes to mind. Alongside America’s immense economic issues was also a another harmful situation: the problems that were happening for minorities and less privileged people. The 1930’s were not just a struggle for money, they were also a struggle for equality. Harper Lee conveys a message of power based on inequality throughout her novel To Kill a Mockingbird with nearly every character. Specifically, Mayella Ewell has an interesting position and gives a different view on the types of power in the 1930’s in Maycomb Alabama.
