Parents Need a Say
Some parents are too strict on their kids. Others are too lose about rules. When it comes to dating, parents have several diverse rules. Parents need to have some control and guidance in who their son or daughter dates. If a parent has no connection to whoever their son or daughter is dating the relationship could be violent, abusive or destructive. Something like that going unnoticed can lead to extremely bad consequences. Parents need to be connected and informed about their son or daughter's relationship.

At that age many teens are nearly, or already driving and those are the ages in which many begin to Most drug or alcohol abuse starts during adolescence. Family relationships help build good skills and character for children. Parents have a big impact on their child's life. If parents are supportive yet somewhat critical it can help their child for future experiences such as dating. Having a strong, supportive relationship between child, especially teens, and parents is more likely for their son or daughter to have better dating and relationship skills. If teens are able to keep those strong relationships throughout their life, not only in dating but with their parents, they are more likely to have more successful relationships.
