Happiness is one of the simplest words to say, but has one of hardest definitions to understand. Does anyone even know what it means to be happy? Not many people do. There are thousands of definitions, but people are beginning to forget the real meaning of the word. Happiness is doing what each of us love and having a feeling of gratification, that their life is where it should be. When reading these articles, happiness brings out the good in people and it shows a positive effect on people's lives. Happiness is and should always be a worthwhile endeavor to any reasonable person.

Happiness brings out the best in people and shows a positive effect in people's everyday life. However, many people will believe that happiness is not a worthwhile endeavor. Many people will believe that pursuing happiness will just lead to people lying to themselves about being happy and that happiness is a feeling that should just come to each person. McFall asks, “Someone's only end in life is to amass the largest collection of bottle caps in the world... Is he happy?” (McFall 528) This is a very good question. People will believe that there is no way possible that collecting bottle caps will ever make someone happy and that it is a form of fake happiness, if anything. That is not true at all. If that person loves to collect bottle caps and he is happy with his life after achieving his goal, then that is not fake happiness. Different things will make different people happy. We can't judge if someone is happy or not by the unusual things they love to do, that isn't right. Happiness will forever be a controversial topic, but don't let it stop us from doing what we love. That is what happiness is all
