One of those words that is commonly misinterpreted, especially in today's society. In today's society, we believe that happiness is reaching your final destination without any bumps in the road, or being rich and getting everything you want. This is simply not the case; happiness is a person’s satisfaction with life on a day-to-day basis regardless of circumstances. Happiness is being happy with your daily routine and getting up everyday excited to start your day. The most common leading cause for human beings to lose their sense of real happiness is the overuse of technology.
No doubt, happiness is not having all the money or everything we want. If we had everything we could ever want "it would only be a matter of time before your expectations change.." (Acacia Parks). What makes us happy, is the work we put in not what we are given, but the journey. In other words, Defining happiness is hard, because there is not a true definition of happiness.
According to Dr. Lyubomirsky, the happiness is defined as the experience of joy, contentment, positive well-being. Happiness is the combination of good life, while it remains meaningful and rewarding (32). The author says that in order to achieve the happiness, it is necessary to follow five steps to sustain the happiness (257). Firstly, one has to remain positive, to create moments of delights, serenity, enthusiasm, and thrill. Secondly, to choose the variety of activities and give them adequate timing.
Happiness is an emotional or a mental state of mind. If a person chooses to be happy, and persue's the attraction of maintaining to stay happy then a person will eventually be happy. Being happy has a huge role on how a person sees things in life. If a person is positive and attracts all positiveness, then they will eventually be happy. But, if a person is negative then that will result in being miserable in every aspect of life.
In Ancient Greece, happiness meant something different than what it means today. The word “happiness” or in Greek, “eudaimonia” meant living and acting well. However, in today’s society, happiness, to me, means something entirely different. Happiness is when I get home and I see my family after a long day at school.
People find happiness in many different ways. Many people are often in search of happiness. Some can not find it while others seem to only get a glimpse of it. Wherever it comes from, everyone agrees that it may be the most vital feeling a person can have and many strive to reach it. According to google, happiness actually means the inner state of well being or a fulfilling experience.
Happiness is the cure for everything Happiness is in your heart, only you can be the one to fulfill your own happiness. There are many ways that people can make themself much happier or if your friend does a certain thing that make you more happier. What I believe the definition of happiness is, is being able to taking time in my life to focus on things I enjoy and to be able to achieve new things in my life to make me more successful in my journey. There are many ways people can become more happier in life, such as just being able to get one extra hour of sleep at night or even as easy as walking 10,000 steps a day.
What is happiness? Some say that happiness is impossible to be achieved without money and some say that it can be achieve without money. In my opinion happiness can be achieve without money with family and friends. Frist of all, family are one of the few things that you can achieve without money. It’s a proven fact that people with family can be as happy or in some case happier than the rich individuals.
Not many things can make one happy; like truly happy. The situation is different for everyone though as happiness could be found in anything, based on people’s personal preferences. Some people feel happiness in everything they see while others only find it in certain mediums, actions, or situations. For those who belong in the latter part can still find happiness in many avenues but most of the time, these only give a certain amount of bliss before they get sick of it and move to the next thing that may make them happy, even just for a little while. Material things such as books, movies, memorabilia that holds a sentimental value, and even celebrity crushes or crushes in general are considered as temporary happiness to some before it fleets away.
In times of self reflection, often before making tough decisions about their future, people tend to ask themselves "Am I happy?". Many would reply immediately without seriously considering the weight of the question. Often people tend to respond based on their mood at that exact moment rather than considering the larger factors that contribute to their amount of happiness. But what exactly is happiness? Generally, people believe that happiness is directly proportional to the amount of tangible wealth and possessions while others would say that accomplishing certain personal goals in life, such as marriage or graduation, is what defines the standards of happiness.
People always talk about how happy or unhappy they are feeling constantly all the time. However, they can’t truly able to define it. Happiness perhaps is something that comes to those who expect it and therefore deserve it, certainly, happiness is having gratitude the quality of being thankful. In the context of psychology, "happiness" has been referred to as a mental state and an overriding goal of human conduct. Each and every one pursuit happiness in this worldly life.
Happiness has a broad meaning. One may consider it to be having money, love, or even just enjoying the little things in life. There is no real definition for happiness because it all depends on a person 's perspective of life. Happiness is more about the way you think and act rather than a material possession. Many people think that getting what you want is happiness, being more rich is happiness which helps you buy every branded cloth, phone, make-up, shoe, being mentally satisfied is happiness, but no there are things beyond these desires which actually sum up happiness.
Happiness can be defined in many different ways depending on who you are talking to. To me, it can be found listening to my favorite music with the volume turned all the way up. Through this experience I am able to immerse myself in something I truly love and be a be a better, lighter version of myself. For some, happiness is living in the moment and experiencing life as it passes, but for others it means living a life of virtue. Though happiness may look different for everyone, it is something that everyone is striving for.
