Beauty is reflected in what a women’s worth, both their past and present. I chose these two different insights from both writers as a relation to our days. Both writers define something beautiful when they feel very passionate or love towards something or someone and doesn’t matter how it may appear to another person. People can automatically refer to beauty as fitness and utility. Fat is ugly and skinny with fair skin is beautiful.
The literal meaning behind Beauty is “a combination of qualities, such as shape, color, or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight.” Most people view the features that white people obtain as the general thing you need to be beautiful. Morrison and Lamar emphasize how African American view themselves when it comes to beauty. However, Lamar hails African American to see the beauty they’ve they been blinded to see “Beauty is what you make it, I used to be so mistaken / By different shades of faces” (Complexion (A Zulu Love))
Beauty can be defined in different ways: Beauty describes how anything in perspective like a face, an object, an action is adorable or pleasant. Beauty also refers to the person’s character, personality, or intellect. This topic of beauty affects all because in today’s culture, society judges appearances independently and seems to completely ignore what is portrayed inside of the person. In the essay, “A Woman’s Beauty: Put Down or Power Source?” Susan Sontag explains that for women, beauty is an occupation that they have to keep to maintain their financial situation.
Beauty is a combination of qualities, such as shape, colour, or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight. Brutality is savage physical violence; great cruelty. The human race can be beautiful a brutal since it balances the complex character which humans are, we see this in The Book Thief with the characters and how war makes them react. Compassion is beautiful since the caring nature which human can bring comfort for those who are sad and conflicted.
As humans, we have the desire to be appreciated and admired by others. Merriam-Webster defines beauty as, “The quality or aggregate of qualities in a person or thing that gives pleasure to the senses or pleasurably exalts the mind or spirit.” But the idea of beauty is not one cohesive style or belief. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Different countries and cultures have various beliefs about what is considered to be beautiful..
Beauty is subjected and classified as physical, emotional, mental, and social aspects of the target. Like interests and hobbies, the beauty of the dog Poodle may be viewed by many as majestic, while others find it unappealing. According to the Scottish philosopher David Hume: “beauty was no quality in things themselves; it exists merely in the mind that
Beauty Beauty can be a term to describe a person’s appearance. “You look beautiful today”, or “That person is beautiful”, are examples of how people may say the word beauty. Beauty can also describe an object or a place, like “The view up here is amazing and beautiful”. Society may define beauty as the physical attractiveness of a person, especially on women. On the other hand, I define it as the beauty within a person, which means beauty that cannot be seen.
The dictionary presents the definition of beauty as a combination of qualities such as shape, color, or form that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight. Beauty is actually perceived differently by every person; many people perceive beauty as the way one looks, but many others associate beauty with how a person acts and treats other people. This quote from Plato states that, “Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.”. This quote means that not one person has the exact same idea of what beauty is.
Beauty defines an individual and appeals to the eyes of others. Beauty comes in 2 forms. Everybody has heard the saying that a person's beauty reflects on the inside and out. Some think that beauty comes from how a person carries themselves or how they look physically. Some may even believe that beauty comes from the way a person thinks.
Everybody possesses it but not everyone sees it. We have so many denotations of what beauty is and one of those would describe it as a combination of qualities that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight. We can have many opinions about what beauty really is Some might be beautiful to an individual and one might be not. Perhaps “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” (Margaret Wolfe Hungerford, 1878) is a saying that holds a true meaning. It is not a question if you possess the qualities of being beautiful or not.
Beauty is not always shown through looks but mainly through personality and actions. The two types of beauty that are mainly focused upon are inner and outer beauty. Those that attempt to acquire inner beauty are the ones that are always going out of the way for the good of other people. These people are the ones that are kind hearted and caring toward peers.
There are many different types of beauty and every type has qualities that define them. All types of beauty are subjective and differ from one person to another. Some may say inner beauty is about having a beautiful soul, and some qualities are being kind and funny. Some may also say physical beauty is about ones appearance and physical attributes such as a fit body or an attractive face. Subjectively physical beauty is what truly defines what beauty is.
If you were to think of the word beauty, you will probably think of a baby, your favorite flower, or even your spouse and kids. Yet the girl next to you was probably thinking of an art gallery, Justin Bieber, or Paris. Beauty is only in the eye of the beholder. Nevertheless, the word “beauty” is abstract, and does not have a true meaning; everyone has their own definition when it comes to beauty. However, if beauty were to be defined, it will be defined as an advantage to something.
Although the word beauty is a positive word, it has destroyed people, just as any word can if used in a negative way. Another beauty has been one which many disagree upon, the physical beauty. When a person looks at someone and feels attraction to the way that they look, then they associate this with what beauty means. Beauty often includes
