My Generation
What does equality mean to you? Does it mean that all genders, beliefs, and races deserve an equal opportunity at life? People for the past few decades have been fighting for different things they believe in. We have been fighting to serialize all of the stereotypes that the world is telling us to be. In my mind I think that the world needs to wake up from their sleep and realize that white men are not at the top anymore. They never deserved to be at the top in the first place. When I look around I see people, just people. I don't see a different race, a different belief, a different gender. I see people, I see equal human beings, with equal rights, and equal opportunities. People believe that boys have to be attracted to girls and that girls have to be attracted to boys. What people are missing is that people aren't like that anymore. People are using their voices and believing in what they want. I think it is extremely cruel to treat someone different because their beliefs do not follow yours. One thing I think people who are straight don't understand is that homosexuality is not a choice, it is how we were born. I don't see the racial differences and I think everyone should see others the way I do. I am tired of whites thinking they are the only humans with worth in this world because they are not! Color is just another aspect that makes a human unique from the next. It is not an aspect that should be judged and pushed away. The fact that people nowadays have the guts to disrespect ones with different color makes me sick! Every human being on this earth have earned every right they have today and deserve to get respect for it no matter what color they are. In an older movie named The Titans, Coach Boone said “I don't care if your black, green, blue, white, or orange...” he was referring to his team before a two week football camp. The team was a good mix of boys and they were having trouble respecting each other. When I first heard Coach say this, I was in awe. I was in 5th grade and I had never heard words that made so much sense. His words might sound a little silly, but they are 100% correct. Every man and woman are capable of doing anything, no matter their color! Every human being deserves the same respect and opportunities. Every human being deserves equality among
