1/25, 7:20 a.m: I noticed a very first sign of the spring when daisies started blooming in the grass. There was something that lit up my soul, a combination of hope and happiness. When the flowers bloom and the leaves revive on the branches after a long time oversleeping in the bleak winter, it is like welcoming the old friend “Merriness” back since the time I said good-bye to her last fall.

Happiness actually comes from little things that we hardly recognize their existence. It is the connection, not only with people, but also with nature. It is around us. We can see it anywhere, as long as we are patient, and take advantage of the power of observation and the “sense of wonder”. Rereading my happy list, I realize the core element to make happiness is love. The love of the nature that gives me many gifts: beautiful scenes of sunrise and sunset, signs of the spring, the weather, and even the unseeable air. The love from relationships: family, friends, teachers that comfort my loneliness. And the love of myself. If I wait for someone else to bring me the joys, I cannot be satisfied every day. I prefer stable happiness, which is created by myself. Love myself, reward myself something after working so hard, encourage myself, try doing something interesting, that is how I nourish my joy. Even if it is the worst day ever, I still believe that there is something can light up my day, as long as I am willing to find it. I remember someone once said: “Happiness is a journey, not a destination.” Indeed, if we become absorbed in chasing the ultimate target and ignore the present, we will miss many wonderful moments that never happen a second time. Happy or not, it depends on our attitude. If we define happiness as something extraordinary, we can never be contented. In contrast, if we understand that life is not always rosy, we accept it, and we realize tiny happiness in simple things, every day will be a delighted
