Recent studies have shown that children during the adolescence growth period are bound to have emotional outbursts due to the period of growth they are experiencing. When children or young adults experience these scenes, they often take up a certain amount of time as well. Adolescents tend to experience behavior changes, physical or physiological, and come to have internal, as well as external problems. Factoring in adolescents behavioral changes the course of development, they tend to become more vulnerable. Key factors in influencing these outrages are solely based on whether or not the body is healthy, your neuro-cognitive skills, and their everyday behaviors towards current events. This includes a growth spurt with a rapid change in the weight and height of a person. Interesting enough, men tend to experience this big change approximately two years after women. The structure of development is broken up into four stages. The first being 0-2 years (sensorimotor) which is when an infant is newly exploring the world and developing motor contact, as well as separation anxiety. Second being 2-6 years (preoperational), where the child is starting to use symbols and words to describe oneself feelings and emotions. During this stage, the child becomes egocentric, which is considered thinking about just themselves and disregarding feelings other than their own. The third stage involves 7-12 years (concrete operational), which is where the children can now think logically on their own at the same time keeping a conversation. Lastly, 12 years to adulthood (formal operational) is a time when the individual becomes independent and becomes able to think in hypothetical terms. Some internal points include fatigue and lack of sleep. Which is influenced by the development of the brain’s maturity. Along with fatigue comes mood swings, anxiety, depression, and many more factors that involve the way the brain is in it’s developing stage. Insufficient sleep and daytime sleepiness are increased during the preadolescent and adolescent years. Younger youth pose a greater threat to depression and anxiety if there's a background of abuse and neglect. The background of abuse stems off into what the child is going to be like when he or she gets to be older. In specific terms, the children could either become sheltered or violent themselves. Some ways you can impact the correct behavior among child is to have them participate in large group discussions along with lectures and problem solving activities. Opportunities present himself as learning how to set goals and expectations for behaviors that reflect the youth’s behavior. By focusing on the importance of obtaining the foster youth’s perspective on past, present, and future life experiences. By doing these simple tasks it can teach the youth how to acquire certain life skills that could help them in the long run, as well as learning how to deal with mistakes made and looking at them through a different
