Diabetes mellitus is a disease which results due to the body’s inability to produce insulin or due to some other reason which interferes in the production of insulin. Insulin is a hormone which converts the sugar eaten every day to glucose decreasing sugar level and increasing the energy level of the body. Diabetes is classified mainly into two types. Diabetes type 1 and Diabetes type 2. Type 1 mainly affects children and young adults. So it is a genetically inherited type where the body has a failure in the production of insulin. Type 2 is a chronic form affecting the adults. It can be due to the body’s resistance in the production of insulin. Hence it is caused due to many reasons. In my essay, the argument will be based on ‘does life style habits has any relationship with diabetes’.
At present Diabetes is a condition which is seen commonly among our community. It can be due to the lifestyle as well as the type of diet that we adapt every day. This is proved by the statement made by Claugiri, “interventions compromising diet alone; exercise alone or diet and exercise combined all produce similar reductions in Diabetes …show more content…

The works that are done by man has been taken over by machines. Hence the exercises that man has been doing have been reduced leading the person easily to the path of diabetes. People’s preferences have also changed as they prefer to work indoor rather than in the field. Exercise is an important factor in helping the person to reduce their sugar level. According to The New York Times, “during ancient times, if a person couldn’t move quickly and wasn’t strong, that person dies”. During exercise, the stored glucose in the muscles are being broken down hence reducing the fat and helping in the reduction of sugar level. It also helps in many other chronic illnesses like cholesterol and blood pressure. From this even we know that exercise helps the person to stay fit and
