D’Lane Having read the ‘Lord of the Flies’ by William Golding, there were scenes that described how easily power can be abused and how too much power can change a person I was really concerned as to why and how this happens. My inquisitive nature made me want to research this problem. What really stood out for me was the differences between leadership and dictatorship and how links can be made about similarities with these two totally different forms of power. My main objective was to really go in depth and find the proper definition of both Leadership and Dictatorship. There were several definitions for both Leadership and Dictatorship. Dictatorship can be prevented but the person that needs to take initiative is the dictator themselves. As mentioned above how addiction to power is just as bad as addiction to cocaine. The dictator themselves should understand the fact that their overusing what they have, they are breaking their initial morals and beliefs.
