Many people who believe in intelligent design mistrust the conclusions contained within the Theory of Evolution. The relaying of wrong information causes many to disbelieve Darwin’s theory of evolution. In schools, children are taught that Darwin concluded the hypothesis “humans evolved from primates”. This hypothesis was never tested; therefore, never scientifically supported. Nonetheless, there are pieces of evidence that supports his theory as a whole, including transitional fossils, which connects gaps from one species to the next in the large “tree of life.” Darwin’s Theory of Evolution by natural selection “explains both the unity and diversity of life on Earth, how all organisms share a common ancestor, and how species adapt to various habitats and ways of life” (Mader 262). Many of Darwin’s conclusions are supported by new findings, such as the finches he found in the Galapagos Islands and how they adapted to the lifestyle of the tropical climate. Some finches had larger beaks to crush seeds, while others had smaller beaks to pick up seeds from the ground. Another supportive finding was the transitional fossil …show more content…

The textbook definition from Of Pandas and People is: “Intelligent design of various forms of life formed abruptly, in an intelligent agency, with their distinctive features already intact- fish with fins and scales, birds with feathers, beaks, and wings, etc.” (“Intelligent Design”). There are pieces of evidence that intelligent design is another name for creationism. In trial, there was evidence in a rough copy of the book that used creationism in its textbook definition; therefore, violating the separation of church and state. Many intelligent design supporters believe that we will never find evidence of some types of evolution because it does not exist. It is easier to attempt to find what has not yet been discovered; rather than try to support that it never
