William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, tells the tale of two lovers who fall in love without regards to their parents feud. Juliet shows scientificant character growth about the level of rebelliousness. From being obedient towards her mother, then kissing Romeo, than marriage. At the beginning of the play Juliet shows her obedience with her mother as she is asked not to do anything with anybody, and only look at Paris until consent is given. “I’ll look to like, if looking like move but no more deep will I endart mine eye than your content gives strength to make fly” ( 1.3.98-100). Juliet agrees to look at Paris because she acknowledges her parents wishes. Later on in the play, at the masque when Juliet was supposed to meet and consider Paris to marry. She starts to disobey and rebel against her mother. Juliet promised her mother she would not do anything with Paris or anyone else, but that changed right away when Juliet saw and fell in love with Romeo at first sight, without knowing anything about each other they kissed twice. “Then have my lips then that sin that they have took” ( 1.5.107). Juliet’s character grows from being obedient to her mother saying she will go to the masque and only and see if Paris is eligible for marriage. To then disobeying against her mother by kissing Romeo, a boy she doesn’t know and a son of her family's rival. Further on, as the play progress Juliet’s character grows to be even more rebelling towards her mother. When she is secretly planning to marry Romeo. Juliet has only known for less than a day and Romeo and Juliet are already planning to get married rebelling her mother’s wishes to marry Paris. “If that thy bent of love be honourable, thy purpose marriage, send me word tomorrow” (
