He wanted people to think about injustice and inequality and to have the personal responsibility to stand up against them. Inequality throughout the book was resolved in a way similar to the French revolution, that is to say, it was a violent uprising. A different example of change is when Mahatma Gandhi wanted to free India from British rule and he took the responsibility to campaign for this using peaceful methods. Another example of an individual creating great change was Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. when he gave his speech “I have a dream”. His methods, once again, were peaceful, and very effective.

Vote or Die Prompt #5: How does an idea presented violate or challenge your ways of thinking? Will Durst, a political satirist and comedian, seems to urge the reader to commit political actions on pain of social disaster in his short article “Happy National Apathy Day”, by providing a list of sarcastic reasoning for why one shouldn’t head to the polls on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November. Durst reminds us that “You won 't be forced from your bed and dragged to the polls against your will” (para 1). However, it’s hard to tell whether Durst is directly satirizing Americans’ low voter turnout or plying his trade as a comedian, with the article being a pastiche of those who believe that America’s problems are caused by not enough

Easy A depicts strongly the theory of cognitive dissonance on numerous occasions.

Appearance versus reality is a major theme in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. There are many examples of this in the story. One of them is the Grangerfords battling the Shepherdsons. The other is the King and the Duke scheming people out of their money.
In the novel “Of Mice and Men” the theme of social injustice is presented by John Steinbeck through the characters of Lennie, Curley’s wife, and Crooks.
