Brave New World, written by Aldous Huxley, shows the starkness of a world where uniformity is paramount and diversity is despised as the root of instability. No one thinks for themselves, but instead they simple echo what they have been programmed to say. Every person is bred to act and think the same as others in their social class. Diversity is shunned along with old world beliefs and conservative morals.
As a future teacher, I will strive to resemble culturally responsive teaching by seeking to understand the student's perspective further. Understanding the student’s perspective will create an educational environment that represents all people, honor individual diversity, and affirm unity among all members if the educational community (8a.0). As I begin to learn about ethnic, cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic groups through different learning experiences, I realize how to pursue positive interactions with students of other backgrounds (8a.1). With this knowledge, I can analyze and adjust the curriculum to meet all groups of diversity in the classroom (8a.2).
Diversity Inclusion On Saturday, April 7, 2018, at 12:30 pm at the University of Winnipeg Library, I observed a young man reading a book sitting by himself as I was doing my homework. I decided to approach him and asked if he has spare time to interview him, he agreed and I began conducting my interview. Rajinder Kumar Sharma is an East Indian 20 years old male born in India, Punjab on June 4, 1998, and grew up in Winnipeg, Canada. Based on his appearance and skin color his diversity is apparent to others. He experienced bias when he was in middle school.
1- I intend to innovate a worldwide method of education with respect to diversity, language, culture, religion and nationality of children with special need that allows them to live confidently, as independent as possible. 2- I intend to be in a deep level of connection with each learner’s family to distinguish cultural complexity in order to be synchronized with religion, social and traditional diversity. 3- I intend to instruct and update myself constantly both academically and spiritually to be disposed being a hand to assist and a voice to be heard.
There is always a need for improvement of parental and community involvement to support diversity and the students of the school. The purpose of this assignment was to analyze the planning processes and how to improve these issues. The overall objective is to create a safe and warm culture among staff and parents, while inviting the community to be a part of the process. It also takes raising money to improve the support of parents and encourage diversity within school. The stakeholders that are involved include one assistant principal, two parents and a school based group.

Some may think that living in South Florida provides quite a bit of diversity, but in such a large city as Miami, our day to day activities do not actually expose us to a numerous variety of cultures as one might think. Attending the Diversity Experience at WPI would allow me the experience of meeting people of distinctive cultures and traditions in a setting that is not typical of South Florida. It would provide me the opportunity to converse and share experiences with other students that may have similar interests, such as robotics and engineering, and are seeking their place in the world. I visualize myself in a university where I can evolve and stimulate my brain with knowledge and innovation, while doing research, creating and inventing.

The diversity of student backgrounds, abilities and learning styles makes each person unique in the way he or she reacts to information. The intersection of diverse student backgrounds and active learning needs a comfortable, positive environment in which to take root. Diversity plays a vital role in today’s world. When we refer to this term, we often connect it to demographic groups such as race or gender, but diversity is a broader and inclusive concept. In accordance to the book “HR2”by Denisi/Griffin, diversity exists in a group or organization when its affiliates differ from one another (Denisi/Griffin, 2013 pg.172). These differences include gender, age, culture, social status, and ethnic origin, among many others. We are all different, not only physically, mentally, and culturally, but also in our perspectives and prejudices.
Purkey and Novah, (2015) describe these assumptions as people are able, valuable and responsible and need to be treated respectfully (p.1). Also, learning is a collaborative and cooperative activity and needs to untapped student potential which includes all areas of human endeavor (Purkey & Novah, 2015, p. 1). Diversity Project Reflection As I was reading through the correct answers to both the Common Beliefs and the Equity & Diversity quizzes some of the answers I had expected and some of them came as a real shock to me. For example I knew that women made less than men, when I had taken the quiz for the first time I had guess that women would have made about $60,000 and $62,000 compared to the men who made $80,000. I had no idea that women were making half of the men were making. I was taken off guard to here this.
As someone who ventured out of a small town that was very close-minded to the outside world, I understand the value of embracing different viewpoints. This is why the mission of Georgetown resonates with me. Additionally, advocating for the underserved and treatment of the whole person are principals that Georgetown values which directly align with my own. Throughout my life, I have been a part of and witnessed the consequences of being a minority.
