The 2016 Presidential election will be remembered as the most exciting, but scariest election in history. On November 08 2016 Donald J. Trump would be elected as the 45th President of the United States. Donald J. Trump a business man, reality TV star, with no political background would lead and represent this country. Trump lost the popular vote to Secretary Hillary Clinton, but won the Electoral vote with 304 to Clinton’s 227. After one of the most contentious presidential races in U.S. history, Trump's rise to the office of president was considered a resounding rejection of establishment politics by blue-collar and working class Americans. In his victory speech, Trump said: “I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be president for all Americans." About his supporters, he said: "As I’ve said from the beginning, ours was not a campaign, but rather an incredible and great movement made up of millions of hard-working men and women who love their country and want a better, brighter future for themselves and for their families.”
It seems as if this President is only concern about pleasing the National Rifle Association, and protecting the Second Amendment, “The right to bear Arms”, making it easy for people to get assault weapons, with innocent lives being taken. President Trump is refusing to repeal the Second Amendment or put a ban on assault military weapons. I find this President to moral and ethical wrong for dividing this country on race and the Second Amendment. I agree that everyone has the right to protect their families and their property. Trump won on fear, his campaign slogan “Let make America Great Again”, many would say, Trump wanted to make America white again. During Trump’s campaign speeches, he has made so very hateful and harsh words against Mexican immigrants. Trump said” They’re bring drugs, they’re brining crime.
