Every 15 minutes a teenager will die due to drinking and driving in the United States. Drinking and driving has been happening since cars were invented. We have seen it more in adolescents because now a days the moral about underage drinking is less. The death rate in teens caused by DUI has incremented over the years. The problem is that parents are more open minded for things they should not be. It’s good for a parent to be jovial and allow their kids to express themselves freely but it’s not responsible for a parent to be “open minded” for something that is illegal, and can affect other people. Parents need to teach their kids to be responsible with their actions, and to think and measure of the consequences it may have. Drinking and driving is still a problem among teenagers and I am against it because parents should be more aware of their children like the old times. If a parent is liberal of letting a teen drink, even though is illegal, even though it is illegal, I can respect that because it’s their opinion about the situation, but they should be more responsible of the whereabouts of their child.
