Dropbox Case Analysis For this case analysis, I will talk about the company Dropbox which is an online storage and backup company with millions of customers. So the company needs to decide its growth strategy in order to remain competitive in the market. There are three alternatives proposed I have proposed. The first alternative is to offer similar products to its different market segment, the second alternative is to offer the same product with an addition of a partnership, while the third option being to add additional feature of synchronization. I think the first option remains viable since the company can accurately target each customer base according to their needs. Dropbox had been performing well with its single product version which had reached several million users. However, consumers constantly requested for new features in its current version. Therefore, the company needed to decide the strategy for its future growth. Dropbox needs to decide whether it shall continue with its strategy for providing a single product version, or it shall it diverse its current customer base. So developing market segmentation would allow Dropbox to become competitive with other storage products offered by its company and also with its competitors. The customers who have limited knowledge about the product will remain confused of the diversified product offering. Complex engineering shall be required for the developing of its new products. Focusing on a single product would increase the ease in the installation of the product and would also attract a large number of customers. Furthermore, developing partnership with equally strong company would strengthen the product’s
