Edgar Allan Poe
As the great words of Edgar Allan Poe, “Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.” Edgar Allan Poe who defined short modern history was famous for his witty, yet terrifying personality and writings. He made poems and stories that still scare men and women everywhere and will be remembered for generations for his poems, stories and critical thinking.
Edgar Allan Poe was born on January 19, 1809 in Boston, Massachusetts. He was actually born the same year as Abraham Lincoln. Edgar was named after a Shakespeare character and he was a second child that lived with two other siblings. His mother was Elizabeth Poe, who was an actor. Sometimes she would leave baby Poe backstage while she performed. Sadly, she died when he was only two. So Edgar moved into his grandparents since his father wasn’t available and was separated from his siblings and Edgar hardly met his parents.
