The constitution was a large process and is the “Supreme Law of the Land.” There was a separation of powers when the constitution was being created which resulted in the Legislative, Judicial, and Executive branches of government. During this time there was a meeting called the constitutional convention, where twelve of the thirteen colonies showed up. Two plans were debated during this process of creating the constitution, the New Jersey plan and the Virginia plan. Also happening as the constitution was being created and affect the outcome was the Connecticut compromise, where the two house legislature was made, the senate and house of representatives.
For example, The Raven, Alone, and Annabel Lee were all stories and poems that related to his family and loved ones. All of those stories depicted his life. Before leaving for the University of Virginia he was furtively connected with to a young woman named Elmira. When her family learned of the engagement she was sent away and taken from him. A long time later, devastated and scarcely making due after a disasterous endeavor to carry on with a military life he wound up living with a close relative, Mrs. Clemm. When he was 26 and she was 13 Poe covertly hitched his first cousin Virginia. He was given to her until her demise from tuberculosis.

Sadly, she also died of tuberculosis, this influenced Poe's works to be even darker and drove him to write two major tales, "The Tell Tale Heart" and "The Raven". The stories both had the same theme of death shrouding all in darkness.
He went and lived with John and Frances Valentine Allan. Edgar Allan Poe lived with his Aunt Maria Clemm and his cousin, Virginia from 1831 to 1835. Virginia was Poe's literary inspiration and Poe fell in love with Virginia. In 1836, when Virginia was 13, she and Poe got married. Virginia died at age 24 from tuberculosis in 1847.

In the poem “Annabel Lee” he talks about how his love Annabel Lee passed away. In the poem “The Raven” he talks about his love, Lenore passing away and The Raven comes to him and is repetitive.
Poe moved in with his aunt Maria Clemm and cousin Virginia. He was finally able to provide for his new family with his new job at Southern Literary Messenger, as a successful editor. He was referred to as the “Tomahawk man” for cutting everyone down. Poe also experienced another death, but with someone that meant less to him. John Allan was dying and threatened Poe by leaving him nothing.
