Growing up as a child, my ambition was to become an elementary teacher. I grew up watching my mother work with children who had difficulty reading. I observed the determination she had towards helping these students, who their very own teachers had already given up on them. Although, my mother was only a teacher’s assistant, that did not stop her from filling up each student’s brains with knowledge and skills. Through my childhood I often observed my mother’s hard work and determination, and I just knew that one day I too had to change the lives of my very own students. As I see, how each incident or situations unfold, I analyze how I would handle the exact same situation. By analyzing the mistakes and not very wise decisions the principal is making, this analysis motivates me to take on the responsibility of being a campus principal. I believe when I am the principal, I will ensure our children are in an environment that is nurturing, comfortable, fun, and yet safe in their everyday learning. As a future principal, it will be my responsibility to provide my students with the opportunity to be successful through a high quality learning environment. Once I become a principal, I will monitor teachers as they will provide both individualized and cooperative learning skills to help our students be successful through numerous hands-on activities. I aspire as a leader, to instill lifelong learning in my organization by continuously implementing personal and professional growth. In providing leadership, I will establish positive relationships among their administrators, faculty, staff, parents, and students.
