Embracing the Diversity of Teaching in Early Childhood Education
Early Childhood Education must be prepared to meet the cultural needs of society. The cultural diversity of students has grown as a foam in recent years. Therefore, it is necessary that teachers are identified with the student population. If an organization has a diverse teaching team in race, culture, and language, it will has endless opportunities to teach from multiple perspectives (Lustig, Koester, and Halualani, 2017). Unfortunately, this is not the case of ABC School. Where a group of parents have decided to take action in search of creating a multicultural school. The drama of the ABC School explains how to address a conflict between administration and parents.

The result is a mixture of cultures where directors cannot ignore diversity. Demographic changes in the student population are extended to staff and administration. Directors and staff must work together to be culturally competent. In the global society, rich in diversity it would be a benefit to recruit racial, cultural, and linguistically diverse staff. Ultimately, this idea is not far-fetched: “Hiring teachers who understand student issues regarding their language, dress and style customs, and cultural issues.”
