English 119 is a course that covers many topics of the English curriculum. Throughout the course I will learn many ways of how to write the correct paper. This class will also help me gain a better understanding of the key parts of the English language. By reading the textbook it will help me comprehend the ways other people around the world and throughout history interrupt English through reading and writing. I believe that learning how to write the correct paper, understanding the key parts of the English language and reading about the ways other people comprehend reading and writing are the most important components in the English 119 course.
According to our syllabus, a student should be able to produce a well written paper by the end of the course. After reading the course objectives I now realize that I have the potential to write a well rounded paper. Thanks to the prewriting process I have bettered my skills at taking my time at writing a paper suited for a college level audience. I can envision and analyze the techniques during the process of writing a paper and see that I can now critique the effectiveness of every sentence I write. First, and most importantly would be brainstorming and outlining the paper you are going to write because that will help you transfer your ideas from pen to paper. Next, rethink and revise what you are going say because it will not only help you sound better but also help you with your communication skills. Lastly would be correcting my mistakes, by doing this I will be able to improve my style of writing and show that I am capable of becoming a great writer. If I follow these simple objectives I will become a better writer/reader but also improve my communication skills as I progress in my English
