In this essay, I would be exploring the importance of equality in Animal Farm. In the beginning of the book, old major had a speech, where he starts the speech by mentioning how unequal human are to them and how they don’t do any work as they are the leaders of all creatures. He implied that the other animals should get rid of man so that his dream can be fulfilled and create a society where all animals are created equal, in the very first bit of the story we can already see that equality is a essential thing between the animals. But what will happen if equality doesn’t balance. Just like the quote ‘All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others’, this refers to the pigs in animal farm. After Mr. Jones was kicked out of the farm, the animals worked really hard hoping to have an equal society but meanwhile, the pigs claim that they need supervision as an excuse and did not do any work.
