The forcing of people to go through 4 years of higher education should not be implemented and it’s portrayed in many aspects of life that it’s the only way to have a career while in actuality it could hinder and severely set back the time put in place for other careers. We should not overly encourage 4 year degrees post-secondary education if pushed too far there would be no need for trade schools, unbalance the economy, and it would create unequal amount of job opportunities.
It’s important to know that Trade Schools and other second hand tech jobs are not considered college levels courses and are good alternatives for careers that don’t require 4 year or post degrees. Vocational Schools or Trade schools are not colleges and usually last between two and four

The curriculum is based around specific technical jobs and skill sets. Most trade schools are over looked by graduating students because the lack of knowledge of what they were invented to do (Randy). Most of the students are only told that they should go to universities or community colleges to get there degree. Almost all of the students realized later on that they wasted 4 plus years pursuing education that they did not need for the jobs they wanted to do. Trade Schools are important for getting an education in personal services, auto mechanics, or carpentry. Everyone learns differently in the sense that some people are hands on learners or rather they can’t learn in traditional colleges with textbooks and lectures (Niver). There are too many four-year colleges serving too many students, and too few Trade schools focusing on vocational education and training (Randy).
