To be a candidate for the National Honors Society is a remarkable privilege and it is with great delight I able to thoroughly apply myself for a chance at this opportunity.
To join NHS would mean to make a positive impact on the community while being surrounded by like-minded peers, two great reasons to join in and of themselves, but together are an entirely different story; together means to have a larger area of the community to assist, a larger goal to strive for, and a larger impact to be made. My contributions to reach this are my capabilities: leadership, character, service, and citizenship.
Able to take charge, but I know when a more qualified person is needed, and when I need to become that more qualified person. I’m honest, accountable and actively participate in group and individual activities. I regularly babysit and do odd jobs and tasks. Always trying to help make someone's day a little nicer, holding the door open, smiling at some, giving food or giving a compliment. While these may have a small impact individually, together they have a wide influence on others.
