Accessing mental health care is a national challenge, and several factors play a key role in how we can access this much needed service. Some of the challenges we need to overcome are the availability of providers, insurance coverage for the services needed to treat our population, development of an acceptable mode of service delivery, and reducing the stigma that is associated with mental illness (Corrigan, Druss & Perlick, 2014). The purpose of this research paper is to analyze and develop a framework for increasing access to mental health services for adolescents by utilizing an anonymous free texting service. Problem Statement Will creating an anonymous texting service for adolescents aged 12 through 18 years improve access to mental health needs and decrease high risk behaviors associated with mental health issues.
