Part 3: Application of Statesmanship Principles
The pressing issue of homelessness is a reality in many U.S. cities, affecting people from all walks of life regardless of age or social class. This problem cannot be ignored; strong leadership and decisive action are the only methods to help the homeless and create tangible solutions. We must strive for betterment rather than accept this situation as an inevitable consequence of urban living; it's time to take charge and ensure that everyone has access to secure housing and safety (Bonilla-Mejía & Higuera-Mendieta, 2019).
Empathy must be the primary principle when it comes to statesmanship. Leaders need to show compassion and understanding for those facing homelessness, striving to put themselves in their shoes, so they can comprehend the gravity of this situation and find effective solutions. We must explore the underlying causes of this crisis such as poverty, mental health issues, addiction, or a lack of affordable housing, recognizing them all as fundamental aspects driving people into destitution. By doing so, we open opportunities for more meaningful interventions which will ultimately help individuals break out of these dire circumstances.

Through thoughtful consideration and collaboration between stakeholders on both sides, we can create meaningful change that makes a lasting difference in society
