Everyone can agree that all food establishments have different feels to them. Whether it's a fast food chain or a luxury dine-in restaurant, each and every food service has a distinguishing atmosphere that either enhances or diminishes one’s dining experience. For example, taking the first step into a McDonalds, one is overcome by a bustling environment full of customers from all age groups, specifically that of children. This family friendly restaurant is known for its fast and painless experience at an affordable price. Ultimately, these factors make McDonalds unique and different from other fast food chains. One restaurant in particular that sets itself apart from others is Chick-fil-A, the restaurant I am currently employed at.

Furthermore, I have gathered what I believe are some key values one must acquire in order to be a part of the Chick-fil-A family. To start, one must be able to be a team player and work well in a large group setting. At my store, I have over two hundred coworkers that make up both the front of house and back of house. It is critical that I work well with everyone so that the operation runs smoothly. Participating efficiently in a team is one of the most important skills to have while being involved in the Chick-fil-A culture. Additionally, one must have exceptional communication skills. As a front of house team member, I am constantly engaging with guests. Interacting with them from the time they walk through the door to the moment they leave, I use communication skills every day at work. In many ways, I am considered the face of Chick-fil-A and represent what the company stands for by how I interact with guests. Finally, one who desires to work for Chick-fil-A must be a hard worker. Chick-fil-A is extremely competitive as we strive to be the best of the best. It is necessary for everyone to give their best effort and to push themselves to accomplish the store's goals. For those who do not have these qualities, there is a different way they are involved in the Chick-fil-A
