Embryonic Stem Cell Research
Even though Using these embryonic stem cells for research is killing what could be potential human life. It is disrespectful of human life. Embryonic stem cell research is a great opportunity to find new medications, treatments, and possibly cure disease. If you do not use the embryonic stem cells because of the idea that it is morally unacceptable, the cells expire and go to waste anyways. If the cells are not being used, we are wasting potential advantages in advancements for possible cures. Embryonic stem cells can transform into any type of cell to help improve a person's well being.
Embryonic stem cell research is a controversial topic. The main problem is that some people believe that carrying out this research destroys possible human life. Others say that it is an opportunity to help the suffering and even possibly cure disease. “The culturing of embryonic stem cells holds tremendous potential for the development of new forms of regenerative medicine to treat debilitating or fatal conditions that would not otherwise be curable.” (Key Ethical Issues)

Most people say that embryonic stem cell research is destroying potential human life. “Advocates of unrestricted embryo destruction make two principal arguments: first, 400,000 embryos left from fertility treatments will be thrown away in any event and second, an embryo is not a human being because it is extremely tiny.” (Stem-Cell Debate) Technically the embryo is being destroyed either way. When the embryo is out and not being used it expires. “Newer breakthroughs may bring this debate to an end. In 2006 scientists learned how to stimulate a patient's own cells to behave like embryonic stem cells.” (The Stem Cell) People have to be more open minded to the possibilities of embryonic stem cell research in order to see how it can help
