The Bill of Rights is the first 10 amendments of the constitution. These 10 amendments are guaranteed individual liberties that are granted to us the citizens of the United States. There is an uprising against congress, claiming that they are taking away our right guaranteed to us. There are many examples, but I’m going to focus on “gun control.” Involving the Second Amendment.

The Second Amendment states "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed”. I do understand on out government trying to make our country a safer place; I do believe that it is a good idea to limit who is allowed to own guns. For example in the state of Texas you may not own fire arms if you are a convicted felon within 5 years of release or parole. Also the sale, rental, lease, or gift to minor under 18 without parental consent is not allowed; nor if you are confined in a penal institution. Also I do understand limiting the types of guns we can have to an extent. Many people use certain guns for a living. Such as hunting and competitions; using these activities to provide food and income for there families. As well as defend and protect the well being of their family. From things like home invasions, robberies, and everyday dangers. Many people believe that gun are the source of all evil; all guns do is cause havoc and danger for everyone around. People believe that guns are the reason why so many people are murdered every year. Guns are not responsible for crimes, people are. Guns don't kill people; people kill people. We the citizens of the United States have the right to bare arms. We should not all be punished for the actions of a few. Not only are guns used for a way of life, but also used for protection. Even with these laws restricting who can have guns; there are still people who do not follow laws. There are still people who commit crimes, otherwise we
