After the teenagers reach the age of 18, these “adults” receive the rights and responsibilities to vote, get married, raise children, and join the military. Unfortunately, the newly-acquired privileges aren't handled well by the new adults. People don't wake up, on 18th birthdays, ready to tackle the real world. In some situations, legal age doesn't matter to this generation's kids, such as drinking before the age of 21. Quite frankly, everyone doesn't reach the maturity stage together and take the responsibilities of a family; it takes a person who is ready to face the real world. Granted, there are individuals who can take the responsibilities at an early age. In most cases, some of the new adults already have a kid before 18. Some take responsibilities and some just abort the baby, or send the baby to an orphanage. People over 18 are able to manage most of the responsibilities in this world, but taking care of runny-nosed toddlers isn’t one of them. The responsibility to raise a child requires a lot of strength financially and attention. After high school students tend to join the college, this would be a struggle between handling the baby, paying for college or maybe working at a job too. I haven't had any personal experience with this situation, but I would definitely not be able to handle college, baby, and the job together. Also, the thinking of this generation is different from other generations, this makes it difficult for most 18-year-olds to have own opinion on politics, and most new voters don't know how the parties are affecting the real world. Someone who just got out of high school or in high school hasn't gone out and faced a real world problem. Most of their opinions are influenced by teachers or parents. The school education gives students the historical view of politics and the political situation now are different from the past.
