The concept of evolution has been a back and forth conversation and will probably be for as long as we know it. I personally support the concept of evolution. I believe that it is what has made everything to be the way that it is now. One example that is often used to show evolution are the finches in the Galapagos. This is a biogeographical example because the finches are different depending on which island or location they were on.
I think that the video, “How Evolution Works, Part 2” presented the case it was trying to make the best. I think that people cannot accept the theory of evolution if they only understand the contents of the Bible in a literal sense. I cannot accept much of the scientific knowledge currently in common use, not just evolution, but also when the earth was created. I think we can make a judgment that evolution and creationism are compatible by recognizing scientific facts and by how flexible the Bible is. Someone can ask if dinosaurs should come to the Bible if God made them.
Summary: Chapter One The most consistent aspect about life is that change is always occurring; it is the one thing that we can count on. This seems to be the main theme throughout chapter one. The Chapter opens up with a story about the 2011 earthquake that caused catastrophic damage to Japan and makes the point that when something dramatic occurs in nature, we often tend to think of it as a momentary lapse of normalcy within the environment and that things will go back to their normal stable stage.
The evolution theory is supported by very many discoveries and experiments. Evolution provides explanations for why there are so many organisms on planet earth and with each a very different or specific type of trait. Researchers have recently found the fossils of Tiktaalik on a river bank in Canada. This species is another point of evidence to help prove the theory of evolution. The idea of evolution is the basis to our modern understanding of biology in the natural world.
¬ The steps that are necessary in evolution by natural selection are variation, heritability, differential reproduction and lastly the prevalence of the traits. Variation is essential for natural selection because as variations of certain traits are selected for or against across generations, the population is set to evolve. An example of this would be mutation. Mutation is a change at the genetic level which means a change in the DNA.

Before Darwin proposed the theory of evolution, the western society mostly agreed Creationism. They believed God creates the world with all creatures and gives them their names and roles at the same time. All species are perfectly designed, so they are unchangeable. However, Darwin published his book On the Origin of Species and proposed the theory of natural selection to explain the mechanism of evolution.
Changes will occur in DNA mutations which is in the gene and this will pass from one generation to another. These affects could change an organisms appearance, how their body works and their behavior. Therefore, the new versions of a gene survives better than the old version and that animal will have more offspring and will inherit new version of the gene, which will pass on to their young ones. How natural selection is one of the key processes in evolutionary change? Natural selection is one of the key process and leads to evolutionary change when individuals that have a certain characteristics have a greater survival rate than the other organisms in a population, which passes these genes to their offsprings later on.
I am not in agreement with the proposed evolutionary theory because it does not align with creationist theory. The theory of evolution is significant to learn about for anyone who wants a better understanding of the natural world. Darwin’s theorized that organisms changed over time through natural selection. These changes could be physical or behavioral traits that help them to better survive in their environment and reproduce (Than, 2015). However, many see the theory of evolution as a controversial topic intruding on their religious beliefs. Natural selection says that given enough time more than just small changes to an organism can occur.
Evolution can be a difficult concept for people to come to turn with, because it is consider being a scientific testable theory. Evolutionary and Creationist involves a big controversy about cultural, political and theological about the origin of the earth. Evolutionary is accepting well in the scientific community almost ninety-five percent of scientist support evolutionary. We as individual do not understand evolutionary this is said because we do not know it to be a facts or a theory.
The Theory of Evolution as formed by Charles Darwin, says that all species of organisms develop through natural selection and descend from a common ancestor. This theory is sometimes referred to as “survival of the fittest.” Many people (especially scientists and paleontologists in particular) are skeptical of Darwin’s findings due to the lack of evidence supporting the theory accompanied by the evidence that prove other Theories true. This being said, it is not even always taught in schools due to the controversy behind it.

Many people believe that if you cannot see something, that something does not exist. By something I mean God. Those who discard the thought of a Creator then turn to science to provide evidence for our origins. The theory science puts forth is called evolution. What is evolution?
