To Whom It May Concern, I would be honored to be considered for the vital school captaincy, and if selected I would bring to the role a different perspective, a plethora of experience as well as a proficiency for leadership which will endow me with the capacity to excel in this position. The role of school captain to me rests upon the major need for the student to be adequately represented in school leadership, thereby ensuring that their educative experience is one that is facilitated by the best possible learning environment. Furthermore, the school captaincy carries the intense responsibility of being the connection between governing council, the schools executive management and the students, this facilitation of communication is absolutely vital in ensuring the interrelation of the school. Additionally, it is the role of any student leader to recognize issues within the school that need to be recognized and go about following the in-place procedures to rectify said issues.
Well, following the extra mile will hopefully stop me from my terrible habits, such as watching a LOT of TV, going to bed super late, getting up very late, my laziness or just being the master at procrastinating, and being glued to my phone. Taking all of this away will help me conquer my goals and future goals to come. Defeating my bad habits will take time, so, keeping a daily planner will help (which I have, but I have a difficult time remembering to write my daily work on it). I’ll need to put the daily planner somewhere I can see it when I’m doing my schoolwork. Being organized will help too!
Dear Childhood Education Admissions Committee, I, Kimberly Berke, consider myself to be the perfect candidate for the elementary education program. I know I have what it takes to complete the program and begin my career as a teacher. My dream of becoming a teacher started with my close relationships with my teachers and coaches in junior high and high school. Then, I followed my dream by becoming a Sunday school teacher and volunteering at elementary schools, community youth programs, and teaching internships in Mountain Home, AR. First, I was inspired by the students’ eagerness to soak in knowledge, laugh with joy, and share their ideas.
A Good Wall Creates A Good Bond Barriers can be found in many different environments, being used to keep things in or out. By analyzing Robert Frost’s poem “Mending Wall” (Perkins 80), one can see the wall is about neighbors bonding. By giving the neighbors a task to work on together, it allows them to problem solve, share experiences, and understand each other’s opinions. Robert Frost introduces the narrator by stating “Something there is that doesn’t love the wall”. From this opening line through the rest of the poem, the narrator shown as a progressive “who hates divisive traditions” (Coulthard).
Dear Dr. Cathleen Moore and the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, I would like to be considered for your Graduate Teaching Assistant position that was posted on 10/31/2017. I believe that I would be a great fit for this position due to my experiences as a teacher and my academic background in psychology. One reason I would be a great fit for this position is because I once held what seems to be a nearly identical position in college. At Southern Illinois University (SIU), I served as an undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Psychology under the tutelage of Dr. Meera Komarraju. In this position, I led a discussion section for a similar number of students that were mostly at the freshmen and sophomore level.
