Three habits I 'd like to change this year is to be more organized, procrastinate less, and study for my tests longer. I tend to leave some of my homework assignments to the last minute, which makes me rush. I convince myself that my assignments will be easy and to just do them at a later time. But in reality, I just cost myself hours of homework and studying. That 's why I want procrastinate less so I can get more things done and I 'll have time to do things outside of school.
I feel as though these goals can be easily achieved if I apply myself and ask for
For the type of learner I am, distracted learner describes me the best. The following reasons helps me focus. First, I am more focused when I listen to music. The music calms me down and will make me work faster.
Ever since I was a little kid I've had ADHD and I was never able to pay attention or focus much unless the assignment was really fun to do. As you grow up with ADHD you have medicine you take to keep you calm, and that’s what I had to take every day. The events of a Football game is easily quantifiable in yards, sacks, turnovers and touchdowns. What happens in fantasy football is far less available outside of wins, losses and total points. The professors and people usually repeat themselves, so I know by listening to their instructions the day before. I know that this system is imperfect that is why I am changing it because; this system has left me stressed out and anxious. Roughly three years ago all of my fellow EC14 peers received a letter that changed how we would view school for the next three years. Unfortunately, that letter was not delivered by a magical owl informing us of our acceptance into Hogwarts. Close, but not quite. Even so, the simple letter was not so little. This letter was the metaphorical door into a world we never knew existed, as cheesy as that sounds.
Upon reaching the end of the 3rd quarter of my senior year, I have recognized my strengths to be my adept ability to pay attention in the classroom, working well in groups and producing work to the best of my ability. Paying attention in a classroom environment is necessary to understand the assignment at hand, working well in groups as community contributors will help in future situations and I have always found it to be essential to produce work of great quality because it represents the pride I have in my work. However, my areas of improvement include staying on top of assignments because my last high school tennis team season has started and I will have to work harder to make sure I get my assignments done on time. With my attendance at stake, I will need to eradicate procrastination and avoid missing any
One of the first notable lessons that I found the most useful was the assembling the employment package which included a job description, resume and cover letter. Before the class, I simply thought that the cover letter was a tedious, optional component for a job. Previously, I have avoided writing a cover letter for an internship, because I thought it was just more work and pointless. However, in class I learned that a cover letter is highly valuable component of a work application, because not only it strategically highlights the applicant’s qualifications, but also serves to complement a resume. In addition, it was also mentioned in class that recruiters are more likely to consider prospective applicants if they take the time to write a letter, because it showcases a higher level of interest towards the position in question
