How Flaws Can Affect People People have many flaws, some can be tiny and others can lead to deadly consequences. In Shakespeare's play "Romeo and Juliet," the characters of Romeo, Juliet, and Friar Lawrence have some problems that lead to a tragic ending. Despite their good intentions, they make mistakes since they think about them too quickly, don't think things through, and lack experience. These three characters play a major role in what is going to happen to Romeo and Juliet in the end. Romeo is impulsive and makes decisions without thinking. He lets his feelings guide him instead of considering the consequences it may lead him. She doesn't know the dangers of her relationship with Romeo. Even when warned by her family and her nurse, she ignores their advice and trusts blindly in their love. The play states ’My child is yet a stranger in the world. She hath not seen the change of fourteen years’.(1.3.8-9). As you can see this quote says that Juliet is still a kid and is not ready to be out in the world yet. Juliet's choices, like deceiving her parents and seeking help from Friar Lawrence, show that she lacks understanding about what may happen in the future. Friar Lawrence is a trusted advisor, but he makes poor decisions. He doesn't think carefully before acting. His plan to marry Romeo and Juliet to bring peace to their families is not well thought out. He agrees too quickly without considering the risks. The play states ’You can wrestle with death to escape from shame. And if you dare to do it, I'll give you the solution’(4.1.106-107).
