Love that Kills Who doesn’t know the two famous lovers of Romeo and Juliet? In this Shakespearean play, the two lovers, Romeo and Juliet, are from opposite families that hate each other with a passion. Originally of the night of the Capulet’s masquerade party, Romeo was looking for a liking in return from Rosaline. Well obviously this didn’t go as plan shown by the name of the play, Romeo and Juliet. Romeo laid his eyes on his impending doom, Juliet. This love they shared in between each other was harder to break than steel. But as always, love comes with consequences. Even though multiple people added to the causes of the death of the lovers, Romeo and Juliet themselves can be blamed the most for their downfall. Even though the families hated each other, Romeo and Juliet still got married sparking mor problems. For instance, Romeo secretly tells the Nurse the wedding plans:”Bid her devise some means to come to shrift/This afternoon;/and there she shall at Friar Lawrence’ cell/ Be shriv’d and married. Here is for thy pains”(II.iv.166-169). This reveals that Romeo set this up secretly because he knows the consequences if others find out. This probably means he knows what he is doing and knows that it is not allowed to happen.
