Working within a social pedagogic framework with children.
As individuals this means how we approach practice and with what aims we use. So whether that be from key thinkers such as Montessori. By using these specific pedagogic concepts in our work we add to the learning of the child. We are also learning ourselves as individuals, and our learning is only limited by our imagination. To let the child be a free thinker we are not only teaching the child to use their own imagination but they are teaching us in that we learn new ways in which the child likes to play and learn for themselves. In group setting this is good for children as children learn a lot from the people around them whether that be adults or other children. These people are big influences on them. So at home they can watch their parents to do things such as clean or eat and they will copy what they are doing. In settings children can watch older children with how they

Key aspects of social pedagogy are to work generally in teams so that individual workers have to be capable of working in teams. Work towards the creation of a group culture which is worthy of children and young people as they develop toward maturity. Often work outside both the families and the schools of children whom they work. Are expected to be imaginative and creative in ways of helping children to develop and overcome problems. View a child’s situation holistically including all aspects of their lives in planning assessment and intervention.
People learn through interacting with a social environment. To focus on the child as a whole person and support the child’s overall development. As professionals we must always reflect on our work and bring both theoretical understanding and self-knowledge to the
