Schools should have open campus lunches. It gives the students a break for the day from the entire thing that is stressing them out. It gives the students a mental break. 73.4% of kids with open campus lunches have a better day compared to kids that don’t have open campus lunches. If students had open campus lunches it would be less stressful on the school cooks.
Should School Have Open Campus Lunches Seventy percent of all high schools in America have closed campus lunches. At U.S. Grant High School they are one of the schools that do not allow students to leave campus for lunches. When students do leave the campus, they get an one hundred dollar truancy fine the first time. The next time is five hundred dollars.
Hannah Bratcher Mrs.Gomez English-5th period 26 March 2024 Off campus lunch “Students could get in a car accident” “Students will be late” remarks on what teachers and principals say about leaving off campus to eat lunch. If we are late, that will be our responsibility. Students should get to eat lunch off campus. If students get into an accident that could happen anywhere, no matter where you're going, does a student ever want a fresh breath of air? Get some food that the students crave instead of the same options at school everyday.
Because students waste to many foods at school at day. 60 percent of fresh vegetables and 40 percent of fresh fruit are being thrown away. By reducing the amount of food wasted and increasing the amount of food wasted and increasing the amount consumed of the courses the beneficial outcome would be improve nutritional intake. When kids are asked how well they like school lunch not surprisingly, American kids, whether pressed for time or just grossed out, leave not much of their meals untouched particularly neglected are fruits and vegetables which they are now forced to put on their trays before they can exit the cafeteria line. The, waste lots of money on food for their schools.
I believe we should not have restrictions on school lunches. Feeding kids good food two times a day for five days a week will not kill them. Or maybe it will because some students don’t eat the crappy food. Studies shows cafeteria money as decreased very much since they changed food regulation. Kids are not eating lunch or they are bringing their own food from home.
In conclusion schools should not change the lunches because they don't have the power to tell students can or can't eat, they don't have the time and money, and finally because they are not allowed to put a limit on how much a student can eat due to the “No Kid Hungry
For these reasons, I support the ELC’s policy of no eating or drinking in classrooms. First of all, eating and drinking takes away the appropriate academic environment in the classroom. We all have a pretty good idea why, in our houses, we do not study in the kitchen, or when we go out to seek a space to study, we never choose a restaurant. That happens because these places do not have conditions that allow us to study productively. The same happens when people begin eating or drinking in the classroom.
“Kitchen” by Banana Yoshimoto is a highly successful book winning major awards such as 1987 Kaien Best Newcomer Artists. Whether you are interested in Japanese literature or not, you will certainly find this a worthwhile read. It deals with issues that that we can face in our own daily lives and the way it is written is also pleasant. I have read this book recently and enjoyed it very much. In my speech I will be particularly talking about how the writer approaches to transgender identity and death in “Kitchen”.
Some students are allergic to certain foods. But if the student was able to go home, then they can eat what satisfy them. Lots of people are picky about the food they eat. There wouldn’t be no problem if a student could leave school
Do not fill up the tank with diesel if it takes gas, or give it gas when it takes diesel. 6% of schools provide the proper and necessary nutrition qualifications established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture ("Lindenhurst Health & Fitness Center"). Proper nutrition should be provided in school lunches because, It will prevent obesity, health problems, and increase academic performance. Nutritious school lunches will contribute to stopping obesity. Healthier options at lunch, take a stab at childhood obesity.
I also believe that students should be allowed to eat in class, because they need to stay well nourished. Throughout the school day, students often become less focused and eager to stay on task during school. This is becoming an ever increasing problem. This could easily be fixed with a snack throughout the day.
To begin with, the taste alone of school lunches is beyond unsatisfactory. The meals provided by public schools are not appetizing. There exists a tangible disconnect between the enticing, nutritious meals advertised on the school board’s menus and what the students actually receive—pathetic portions and lukewarm meals slapped onto a tray. Children’s complaints about school lunches are often seen as trite. However, while common, they are not any less accurate.
Is having junk food in school really such a bad idea? Does it obtain a value that some schools lack? Junk food was provided in school, before the health program came into place, banning it from schools around the country. It was proudly served and allowed in school, and also sold for many school fundraisers. Although some people might say that junk food can be unhealthy, schools should allow, or serve, some junk food because it will make the kids want to eat school lunches more, it will bring in more money to the school, and it will give the students the calories that they need.
“Today approximately 16% of America 's youth are classified as obese,” in that case, changing one meal a day could prevent as much as 6% of America’s youth from becoming obese. The main issue in the cause to start making school lunch the healthy option of a students day is the undeniable fact; people love debilitating foods. Even when you are an infant in the womb, the one, only thing you crave is sugar. The best
Stress has become a major issue for high school students. Many students have seven classes, participate in sports, have after school activities, homework, and need to get an adequate amount of sleep each night. Some parents and outside influencers don’t see the benefits of having a longer lunch period for high school students. Students complain about how long school is now but they don 't have enough time outside of school to complete everything they are expected to. While it is understandable that some parents wouldn’t want longer lunches because it could result in safety issues and students having to remain in school 30 minutes longer than the traditional time, longer lunches would give students a chance to complete homework, get help from teachers, and eat a nutritious meal.
