I am a project manager given a specific scenario. In this paper I will outline how I think the project would best be managed given the specific contstraints.
Keywords: team structures, software process models, project managementThe scenario is that I am a project manager in charge of developing an application similar to one I have developed previously, however it is larger and more complex than before. The requirements of the project are clearly defined I will outline the best team structure and software process model(s) for this project in the rest of this paper. I will justify my choices and outline how my choices may be affected by intense competition and/or tight deadlines.
Team Structure

For the team structure, I believe that it would remain mostly the same. Some additional people would be hired to move things along faster and provide better contingency in case of sickness or other personnel issues.
I would consider potentially using an iterative development depending on the specific requirements of the application and deadline. Some applications are required to be done to the correct specifications or else it will be a complete failure. In such a scenario, I would continue using the waterfall model for its aforementioned advantages. If on the other hand, it would be better to have a mostly working version at the deadline instead of no version, then I would probably switch to an iterative development model. An iterative model focuses on producing progressively better prototypes, so it is almost certain that there will be some version of the application read to present by the deadline, even if it does not fulfill all of the
