When looking for a job you may be thinking about the benefits you will receive once the job starts! As you continue working hopefully you develop a great relationship and want to build a career at your place of employment. Having happiness at work is rare today, but it isn’t impossible. ”Employee engagement is positively correlated with the organization’s productivity… research shows that engaged groups of employees are more than 25% more productive.” (Nahavandi, 2015, pg. 140) Having a productive staff is what all employers should want, but sometimes they don’t know how to get it. For many young adults holding a job with health care benefits are significant as they may no longer be eligible to remain on their parents insurance after a certain age or other conditions. Thanks to the Affordable Care Act; required plans and issuers offer dependent child coverage to reach the coverage available until the adult child gets to the age of 26. (Employee Benefits Security Administration, 2015) This alleviates the stress of recently graduated college students of finding a job just to receive health benefits. With this benefit taken care of employee’s are able to focus on other benefits or perks at the companies. Most people want to find a company that offers as many perks as possible instead of accomplishing one thing and then moving to another company for a different perk at a different time. Luckily, with companies’ realizing that the path to attract employees is by providing big benefits it shouldn’t be that hard to recruit. Job location and the status of the company play a factor in finding a job.
