Conspiracy theories exist in the world all around us today, but some theories may not be totally true. Maggie Koerth-Baker speaks of many different well-known conspiracy theories in her essay, “Why Rational People Buy Into Conspiracy Theories,” including the September 11 attacks. On September 11, 2001, a group of Muslims hijacked a few planes and flew them into the Twin Towers in New York as well as the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., because they thought this would please their god. The event left America with much destruction and grief. However, over the years different people began to suggest that the event was an inside job and that the U.S. government helped arrange the awful massacre.
September 11th, 2001, left a devastating impact on not only the United States, but worldwide. Many families had been separated and many souls were lost in what was one of the most terroristic events that has ever happened on American ground. As two planes crashed into the Twin Towers located in New York, thousands of people would be left stuck in the crumbling building, some able to escape, while others were not as lucky. In an essay by Peter Bergen called “Could it Happen Again? In the National Interest”, Bergen highlights inside details of the fatal attack and what caused Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda to reign its terror on the Twin Towers.
During the brutal attack called 9/11, four planes got hijacked by terrorists. One hit the the Pentagon, another one crashed into a field in Pennsylvania, and the last two hit the World Trade Center towers in New York City. Thousands of lives died that day due to the attack, but many have asked , “Could they have been saved?”In fact, they did not even need to be saved, it could have been prevented all together. The intelligence agencies FBI, CIA, NSA were partially responsible for not stopping the attacks.
Behind these attacks there are many conspiracy theories such as; the fall of the Twin Towers was a controlled demolition or “There have been claims and suggestions that Bush used the 9/11 attacks—or even engineered them—as a pretext to engage in wars and increase the state security infrastructure” (Suhrie/Corbis). The theory presented that controlled demolition orchestrated the fall of the Twin Towers has been proven to be illegitimate. The terrorist attack of September 11th, 2001, was the hijacking of four American airplanes used for a terrorist plot. Two planes were flown into the World Trade Center towers, one was crashed into a wing of the Pentagon, and one never made it to it intended destination because the passengers fought the hijackers and the plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. On September 11th, Americans never realized how deeply this event would change their lives. Moore is an amazing political commentator and knows exactly how to use the art of language, film, and facts to persuade his audience and to get them to follow in his lead. Released in 2004, Fahrenheit 9/11 is a documentary directed and produced by Moore.
Fahrenheit 911 is a documentary film, directed by Michael Moore and released in America in 2004. The film is a brisk and entertaining indictment of Bush’s administration. Michael Moore presents a one sided picture of Bush’s administration in order to discourage the support of the society for Bush’s re-nominating in 2004 election. The introduction plays a role as a premise for those events happens after Bush’s win in the election in 2000.

Fahrenheit 9/11 enters this line of questioning and disbands what the government as well as mainstream media wants you to believe the reasoning behind the attacks that happened on September 11, 2001.
