There are many books out there that are just waiting to be picked up by someone. Some of those books are good, some are great and then others aren’t as much fun to read. Out of all the books in the world the 3 books that have been read this year, A stranger in the house, the couple next door, and the fallout, have been the leading ones for the best book. To start off, the third best book, “The Fallout” by sa bodeen, is about a family of 6 kids and their mother who had just escaped their father who had kept them all underground for 5 years. 3 of the kids had been born after going into the underground hideout and 1 son, the main character’s twin, was left outside as well as their grandmother.
Unbroken is about a young Italian boy named Zach, when he came to the u.s. He was a trouble maker. All he did was steal, cause trouble and drink beer, when he drank beer he would put the liquor in a milk jug then color over it with white paint. But in the other hand everyone saw him as a trouble non-listening boy. His brother Cody was a good kid.
Have you ever thought of yourself as a person who has the guts to do anything, but in reality when it comes time to actually do something you back out of it? In the book Unbroken, by Laura Hillenbrand Louis “Louie” Zamperini had partaken in the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany. Not long after Louie had competed in the games he had continued on his path to success to join the U.S. Air Forces in 1940, right around when World War II had begun. When Louie and his fellow crew members were flying over the Pacific Ocean in their B-24D Army Air Forces bomber one day in May of 1943, they had crashed into the ocean due to two engine failures. After crashing into the Pacific there were only three survivors; Louie, pilot Lieutenant Russell Allen
Although he was very thankful for her kindness, he could not thank her, for he knew he was going to have to drop out again to help out at home. At the age of sixteen, Myers had dropped out of school again and joined a gang. He got into all kinds of trouble, and although he didn’t like it, he continued to do bad things until his parents sent him off into the army at the age of seventeen. The army, his awful home life, tons of research, and his love for writing literature inspired him to write this novel. Sunrise Over Fallujah contains many exciting elements and draws the reader in, however it can be found boring at some times.
I chose the book Black Hearts by Jim Frederick because it was recommended to me by First Lieutenant Smaldone. He had to read it as course material during his training at TBS (The Basic School). Officers go to TBS following Officer Candidate School where newly commissioned officers learn to lead and inspire fellow Marines. Black Hearts is a non-fiction story about the 502nd Infantry Regiment’s deployment to a region south of Baghdad, Iraq and it’s breakdown of leadership, morale, and discipline. The Unit was known as “The Black Heart Brigade.”
The book has many characters with very different personalities. The book has unexpected twists and turns throughout it. The novel involves kidnappers, a dragon and (of course) the 5 children from Miami that know nothing about what they’re getting into. This book started out as, a fairly normal story.
Louie Zamperini went through more pain and suffering than most people will ever endure in their entire life. In the book Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand, Louis Zamperini was an Olympic runner. He was drafted during World War II . During the war, his plane crashed in the middle of the ocean and he was stranded with little resources to survive. This book follows his incredible story battling starvation and abuse in Prisoner of War camps (POW).

She tries to navigate through her first year of high school, and it seems like the entire student body despises her; she feels more alone than ever. I will be analyzing and making connections to three specific elements in this novel: the search for one’s identity, Melinda’s inner conflict,

In the beginning of the book the protagonist, Beatrice Prior “Tris” is being held hostage in a prison. Tris is divergent which is a category people are put into if their mind “moves in several different directions” and can’t be confined to one way of thinking or be controlled. The reason she’s in a jail cell is because she was caught as being a traitor and revealing secret information about the city from the previous book. Tris lies her way out of jail. Once she has escaped, a group approached her named Allegiant.
It is about a girl name Clary Fray who sees two boys and a girl murdering a blue haired boy at her friend Simon’s party. As she sees it happening she screams and Simon comes over and asks her what happened. But she just pointed to the room whispering that they killed him, call the police, but when Simon goes to check there is nobody in there. So he comes back and assures her that everything is all right and there is nobody there. She does not believe that nobody else sees the three people and even the blood on the floor.
They also happen to be rivals with Abnegation. The main characters involved are, Tris, her parents – Natalie and Andrew, her brother – Caleb, her coach/future partner – Four, her friends – Christina and Peter and then the main evil enemies – Eric and Jeanine. This novel is about Tris, a 16-year-old girl who is about to choose which group she wants to join. Tris has been born and raised as a member of Abnegation but she feels as though she doesn’t quite fit in. Before the choosing day, Tris finds out she is divergent.
