In what ways have media content changed and how does this influence journalism today?
This is sort of questions are important to ask because of the influences of media has the potential to influence long-lasting effects on human knowledge and to build their perceptions of the world. News media is considered as a source of power and an influence to society, but opinions differ on whom or which actually control the powers of influence over the media and the occurring changes, but journalism has through time, been considered as a key player for shaping society (Strömbäck, & Karlsson, 2011, Who's Got the Power?). We live today in a media landscape with a wider range of media and information than ever before, where printed news media and newspapers have in recent years gained a longer reach due to the digital developments, which have given rise to the growing proliferation of news production and news consumption on the Internet (Strömbäck the 2015 Handbook).
